Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best fillet knife! Fillet your fruit! ;) This is the basic, classic, and best fillet knife. Rapala is quality made in Finnland, they make quality with their long time fishing culture in scandinavia. It's so well priced for the quality and classic and elegant looking. With one of these I can boneless filet a northern pike in just a few minutes, or I can cut up a cantaloupe or mango perfectly. Yes I fillet my fruit with a Rapala. Always. I keep one in my kitchen drawer which is used only for fruit. It says sharp a long time and is the perfect tool for getting fruit off it's rind! I use another Rapala in my camping/fishing gear for filleting fish. When used on fish the fish scales will dull the blade in time and they will occasionally need to be resharpened of course as with any fish knife. In my opinion you can't beat this classic.
