Rated 1 out of 5 by from A “mistake” in the instructions - 2 mm Allen I bought this to put on the roof of my garage at my vacation home in Northern Wisconsin so I don’t have to jump the camp truck when I get there to open in the Spring. We’ll see how that goes. I have seen these or similar solar chargers used at camps and marinas and thought they were a great idea. In the meantime I assembled it at home. The instructions suck. The page in the box is poorly translated from, umm, the language of the manufacturer. They include 8 screws to secure the 4 mounting brackets to the collector. Unfortunately what’s not explained on the included instructions is that there are some “shipping screws” to hold said brackets in place on the collector during shipping across the Pacific. I learned this after downloading instructions from the manufacturers web site not included with the product. Unfortunately, again the online instructions refer to a “small Phillips” screwdriver. I tried every philips I had and was about to pack the SOB up to take it back and thought to try some TX and Allen wrenches just in case. Turned out to be 2mm Allen screws, not Phillips. I’m old and even with cheaters it was hard to see it wasn’t Phillips. I’m posting this to try to help with the Phillips Vs. Allen issue. Nobody at the store knows sh.. about these.
