Unreliable Controller Board. No Customer SupportWe purchased this model Grill on 5/6/2018 at the Lakeville, MN Fleet Farm store. On 8/26/2018 it was Dead.
Assembly was easy enough; and this Pellet Grill worked satisfactorily for 3 1/2 Months.
On the day we were to grill some chicken for a Family Reunion; the Grill failed to Power Up or Ignite. Only the Power Switch Light would turn on. There is no Temperature Display. There is no Fan operation. There is no Pellet Auger Rotation. It appears that the Control Board has failed.
Upon further examination; we found large enough openings in the control enclosure through which small animals or rodents could enter. Who knows what might be in there?!?!
I called the Customer Service Number: 1-866-475-5180. There is only a Voice Message stating that "due to relocating of our replacement parts to a new warehouse, we are currently unavailable to process any warranty or purchased parts orders. We will resume processing orders no later than October 1st.". There is then advice to send an email to: INFO@OLP-INC.com. An email to that address results in the same emailed Parts Warehouse Relocation response.
It is now too late to return this defective product to the store where it was purchased.
We previously owned 2 Traeger Pellet Grills which each simply worked for a couple of years; and were resold to new users as we upgraded to a larger model.
Such a Pellet Grill should last for more than 2/3 of a Grilling season of once or twice a week moderate use.
Save yourself the frustration and spend the extra $$$ for a Traeger product.Example: I bought this a month ago and am so happy that I did...
