Rated 4 out of 5 by from works well in the sun. I used this a sunny area with good results. The key is to make sure you keep it watered. I would say twice a day. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product Last week I planted this seed to fill in some bare spots. I covered the seed with top soil so the birds won't eat the seed. Lightly watered the seed 3 time a day and in 6 days the seed was popping thru the top soil. It looked like almost 100% germination and no weeds...Thank you for another great product....I cannot write a review on Thick R Grass until the fall. I will apply after I get my lawn aerated. Rated 5 out of 5 by from It has Color What I love about Scotts is there quality and the ease to use. I was able the see how the seed was spreading which helped me hit the parts I missed. It took a little bit longer to grow due to the lack of rain which is my fault. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grass That Can Take A Lot Of Use Our parkway was dug up by the city to remove and replant new trees. I used Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Soil along with this seed in the two large bare spots left from the trees removed. This seed handled the full sun it was planted in very well. It also stood up great to the foot traffic from neighbors entering and exiting their cars, as well as all the dog walkers. This stuff is tough. I plan on using this to overseed the rest of the parkway since it holds up so well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Won't grow in carpet ! A good thing. I was surprised on how small the seeds are in this bluegrass mix. My first observation was when we came home from dinner one night and I found the bag of grass seed torn open on the family room carpet. My dog Cooper grabbed the seed bag off of the counter thinking it was food and then decided to plant some in the family room. The blue coating on the seeds had stained the carpet a little, luckily it came out with a little elbow grease. In the end, dog was fine, carpet survived and no family room growth appeared. phew. I filled in a couple of small areas with this seed while also using Scotts lawn soil in the yard where it belongs. I noticed It took a very long time to sprout ~ three/four weeks. Maybe I did not keep it moist enough. Otherwise a very good product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
