Rated 1 out of 5 by from This predict product cost me 32oz of insecticide Design was comfortable, but that's about it. To start, I filled the reservoir half way with a pricey insecticide. Seemed good to start but then the trigger stuck, to the point where I had to turn the hose off to get it to stop. I figured it was because it was new, which it could have. After about 300 sq feet I noticed the insecticide had not dropped (using the 4oz setting). Maybe I was wasn't paying attention when I filled it, no. After another 200 feet, the reservoir was 3/4 full! I kept trying but after few more minutes it was overflowing! Took the reservoir off and saw water pouring out of the small feeder hose when I hit the trigger. Maybe I have a defective unit but that's the only one I have. I tried again, same result. Now I'm out both the cost of the sprayer as well as 32 oz of insecticide. Thanks Ortho! BTW, your home defense only lasts a month! I live in the Manistee National Forest, we get a lot of bugs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Well designed but poorly built. I bought this Dial N Spray hose end sprayer last fall but today was the first opportunity I've had to use it. It leaks like it's missing a part and when I press the trigger only a trickle of water comes out. There is no value in a tool that doesn't work the first time and every time. Considering the time spent writing this and the time I spent in their chat I would have been better off spoon feeding the ants I am trying to control. Next time I'll buy the hose end product and forget about the sprayer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not dispense properly According to the instructions for Weed-B-Gon I set the dial to two ounces for Northern climate. According to the bottle that should treat 8000 square feet. The sprayer emptied the entire bottle after spraying about 1000 square feet. A waste of my time and money for the wasted concentrate. Best case scenario is I'm just out a little money and time. Worst case scenario is this will kill my lawn since it applied the concentrate at about eight times the recommended amount. In addition the threads from the sprayer head to the concentrate bottle we're extremely loose. Applying even a minimal amount of pressure kept popping the sprayer head off the bottle. This is a very poor design that does not positively lock at the appropriate point and could easily result in the entire bottle of concentrate falling off and pouring all over.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible design, does nothing but leak Absolutely horrible design. I purchased on of these only to have water gush from above the white hose fitting. Returned it for another one, same exact problem. There is nothing stopping the handle from filling with water save for a cheap washer that relies on torque from the hose end, which is *never* even. Whoever designed this should be embarrassed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trigger valve fails repeatedly on multiple units I have purchases three of these units in two years. Two of the purchased units were bad the first time they were used. The water flow was very low, the trigger would not move and the flow could not be turned off. Both units were returned for refunds. The other two units worked for a few hours before failing in the same manner. I will never purchase a model like this. The only reason I purchased these was due to my owning the previous model of ortho hose end sprayer with the dial adjustment. These older units lasted me many years, over a decade before failing for various reasons. I think ortho has lost it;s edge and I will no longer be purchasing their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tool. I use mine for several things; insect spray, weed killer, and I also found another novel use for it. I have pavers and artificial turf in my yard, which our animals urinate on regularly, creating a foul smell. My landscaper recommended that I spray both liberally with household bleach at a ratio of 1/4 to 1/2 cup per gallon. So, I fill the cup with bleach, set it to 4oz and spray away with the shower setting. It takes about a day for the chlorine smell to dissipate, but there's no more urine smell for a couple of months.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Absolutely worthless if you plan to attach the concentrate bottle If you are planning on using the sprayer with the included jar then this is probably worth your time and money. There can be an issue with leaking at the hose connection. However that is easily solved by adding another rubber washer and/or plumbers tape on the threads. If you plan to use it with the concentrate bottle directly attached like they advertise DO NOT BUY this item. I'm convinced that it isn't possible to attach the bottle to the sprayer. When you take the cap off the concentrate bottle it has a pouring lip that prevents the threads from even touching each other. Then if you manage to get the "second cap" off the bottle without spilling the contents all over yourself you will find that the neck of the bottle is too narrow for the threads to grab each other. The only reason I bought this was because I could connect the concentrate bottle directly to the sprayer. Very disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Alternative use--Soap dispenser **Use common sense** I use this as a dedicated soap dispenser to wash my dog and also to wash my vehicles, excellent sprayer! I do not use it for weed killer or other chemicals. I put the flea and tick soap in the sprayer with about 10 ounces of water and can wash my dog in about 3-4 minutes, super fast! I also use this in the same manner with car wash soap and can wash my Jeep completely, using only 10 gallons of water. The three sprayer options are awesome!
