Christmas Cookies
These were bought for some Christmas cookies. My Mom made them when I was a child, and they are made every year. However, about 30 years ago we were no longer able to find these mints, so we had to make them....sometimes with mixed results. Finding these was truly an answer to a prayer, :-)

The mint I've been searching for!
Have been searching for mints to make my mother's Starlite Mint Surprise cookies from the days of my youth. The original mint company went out of business and years of searching were unsuccessful. These worked perfectly and a family tradition can continue! Plus they taste great on their own!

Good substitute in Starlight Mint cookie recipe
When my local chocolatier stopped selling the thin dark chocolate mints needed for Grandma's Starlight Mint Surprise cookie recipe I needed a quick substitute. The Rockwood mint wafers called for is no longer available. I found these Fleet farm chocolate mints on line. They were less expensive, so I was a bit worried about the quality. But it is a good tasting, good quality mint. It is smaller. So I had to either use two mints inside the cookies or make them smaller.
But it was grest to still be able to make this family favorite.

Thanks for these. Impossible to find!!!!
I make an old recipe for cookies that uses these. There is a recommended substitute but it isn't as good. My mother made them with a box of brachs candy that only came out at Christmas but they have not been available for years. I searched for these mint discs and luckily came across one person who found them here. Thanks to you( and her) I got to make the Starlight Mint Surprise cookies as they were meant to be. I am afraid I won't be able to find these next year so I vacuum sealed one bag. So I will be back for these as long as you make them. PS- they taste good out of the bag too!!!

Great for Baking!
I previously used Wilton brand Dark Cocoa Mint candy melts. I had a difficult finding them a year ago and couldn't find them anywhere to make my holiday "Ritz Mints" this year (dip Ritz crackers in melted mint/chocolate - yum). Found these, tried them and they were GREAT. Highly recommend them.

Mint Wafers
The mint wafers are hard to find. Looked online and found them at Fleet Farm.
