Great all around tire .I've yet to find a problem with these tires . I bought them as a winter tire as we are required to have the mountain snowflake on our tires here in the winter . I ended up leaving them on all summer as they seem to drive quite quietly with great mileage on pavement . I live in the mountains where it snows a lot and drive a logging road to get to work . These tires track well on gravel and mud as well. 40K on them , rotated every 10k and lots of tread left .

Great traction, no lifeI live in the mountains and liked the idea of an all terrain snow rated tire. I drive mostly straight flat highways and steep mountain roads and these tires will be lucky to see 30k miles. I have 22k on them right now and it will be a stretch to make it through a second winter. So bottom line is like the other review stated below, they are great for a year but the value is low due to no tread life.
Tires were on a Toyota Tacoma

5 star traction with 1 star durabilityWhen these tires were first installed on my pickup I swore I could have cornered on black ice. 30,000 km's in and still handling the wet and snow well, but looking like a 50k+ tire. You will sacrifice longevity for traction going with these tires. That being said, they are one of the best all season tires I have driven for gluing your vehicle to the road. Just wished they were a little more durable.
And they do collect stones in the tread, i pick them out regularly.

In Canada - only good the first year, then useless.I was touting these tires the first year as one of the best I've ever driven. I would tell anyone willing to listen how awesome they are.
By the second winter I coudn't make it up a snowy steep inclined driveway in my Ram 4x4 pickup. My Dad made it just fine with his stock all season tires on his Titan. We ended up having to call a snowplow to plow the driveway so I could leave. Shameful. The performance has gone further downhill since. Not to mention the short life. Lasted me barely even 50000 kilometers - 30000 miles and the tread is shot, might last me a couple more weeks.
These tires are not worth your money. I bought them thinking I'd save on the money and effort of switching to winters and back every year but if I'd known they are only truly useful the first 20k and then usable another 30k after that... I'd have just gotten a proper set of winter tires.
I could really write 2 reviews about this product. One which would be all 5 star and how amazing they are (for the 1st year). The 2nd review would be for the entire lifetime and it is all 1 stars because come the 2nd winter you'll have no grip or traction in moderate Canadian winter weather, come the second summer you'll be slipping on dry roads.
I did quite a lot of research and couldn't find a single bad review or word about them... why you might ask? Because nobody tests or reviews a 1 year old tire... they are always brand new. I'm starting to see a lot of people popping up now with the same complaints as me now that they owned the tire for a year or two. Do your research you'll likely find the same.
Since tires are not purchased annually this tire will not get any aspects of my 1st year review and this review is entirely based on an entire lifetime with these tires. From brand new to weeks away from death - total time lasted 23 months today and 48500 KILOMETERS... not miles.

Great grip terrible wearI have put two sets of these tires on my Ford Ranger, both were bald within one year an less than 20000 miles! They do provide great traction, I was sure footed all winter, yet it still doesn't make up for needing to buy a new set of tires every year.

I live on a very steep drive the tires hold well in pow on incline but they eat up the the snow on flat land as for ice great breaking and cornering long as your driving 09 gmc 4x4

Best tire I've ownedI know that is a bold statement and I stand by it. I put these tires on my f350 that I use for landscaping and to plow snow on Vancouver Island. Terrain here is hilly and this has been the worst snow year in a long time. These tires have way out performed the last two sets I have used. The other two sets were snow and ice specific and way more expensive. I haven't had to chain up once this year and my confidence in these tires has made my job a lot easier. I will be buying these tires again!

Excellent all round tireThese tires have been on for almost two years. One full winter and two half winters on a Jeep Grand Cherokee All Wheel Drive.
With approximately 20'000 miles (32'000 kms) on these tires, wear is limited.
The vehicle using 235/80R17 tires pulls a 5'000 pound trailer with a 450 pound tongue weight in the summer and has put 3'000 miles (5'000 kms) in temperatures of up to 40 degrees.
Winter traction is excellent, and no real problem with snow. The closed lugs do not clear as well as an open lug, but the tire does very well to clean itself.
Ice is certainly not as good as Michelin X-ice for example, but this is an all around A/TW. For areas that require the winter mountain snowflake this is a great option. Stopping distances are to be monitored depending on conditions.
Used off-road in mud and on rock, this tire does very well. Have used it aired down to 12 pounds and it is fantastic climbing up smooth rock without turning a tire. In Heavy wet mud it does not compare to a M/T, but again it is an A/TW.
This tire has great deflection, solid sidewalls, and is a great option for those that will be covering all seasons and need a strong work tire.
Its heavy sidewall construction (for a LT tire) make for a firm ride, and is more comfortable with lower psi, or weight in the vehicle. That being said it will handle high pressures well, and we regularly run at 60 psi when towing.
