Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product. Bought for nesting wood duck. Up for only a week and already have birds in the box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice but needs improvements Nice house with 0.75 inch cedar boards. Sides are two (2) 4.5 inch boards instead of one board but it has a brace. The brace takes up space for nesting/eggs. With braces, the nesting area may be too small for larger ducks such as mallards I put screws in sides and top and removed brace. They should consider screws instead of staples.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built. This is the 4 th Wood Duck box that I have purchased from Bachyard Boys. Well built and built with long lasting cedar. Easy to clean out at the end of the nesting season. Light weight and easy to insytal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wood Duck nesting box This nesting box is a bargain and made very well; however I made a couple of modifications: added some extra screws to reinforce a couple of areas and added a handle to make it easier to carry nesting box. Installed unit on a treated 4 x 4 to which I added additional handles for carrying purposes. Used a cement pier to position unit in our pond. See pics below for steps. I disassembled to carry project to pond and then reassembled at the pond's edge. By the way, I'm a 72 year old woman and I created and setup this project by myself.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Well made 1. Access hole too large. A racoon entered and destroyed nest. 2. No way to clean box. Either lid or front should be removable. Suggest using screws instead of nails. 3. I think birds were "spooky" of smell of new wood. I hope a year's weathering will make them more acceptable to the birds.
