Love this versatile shelving!I am a gardener, woodworker and DIYer in general and first bought this shelving system a few years ago. The double brackets are very strong and have a galvanized finish to resist the weather. There is, however, no point in reviewing the double brackets alone since they are just one part of a shelving system and are not typically used by themselves. The tracks go up quickly using the screws sold for that purpose. The tracks and brackets provided me with an adjustable shelving solution that I used first under my carport when it served as a temporary workshop, then easily was moved once my workshop was completed.
I used several of these along one shop wall to stack a variety of wood for shop projects, basically a strong lumber rack. Additionally, it was a simple task to add wood shelving supported by these brackets for stacking a variety of supplies both in the workshop and under my RV carport. Their strength, utility, versatility, and galvanized finish all add to the value of this very quick and easy shelving solution. I've ordered components several times in varying quantities and have found the 14in. double bracket to be the most practical to fit my needs. The beauty of the system allow you to combine the different types and lengths of brackets (see supported 20 in. brackets in the RV shed photo) all using the same track. The double shelf standard (track) can easily be cut into shorter lengths and drilled for additional screw holes (match the size) to provide you with, for example, two shelves 12" apart. There are even parts available to hang the tracks from the top plate in standard stud construction if there is no solid wood available behind the vertical track (between studs), making this a great choice in an interior utility room.
The weight rating on these brackets indicate their strength providing great utility for almost any use a DIYer can imagine and I highly recommend these.
